Covid-19 Update: October 2020

We are now offering TAKE OUT service and PREORDER service.

TAKE OUT WINDOW: 

Our take out window operates from Wednesdays to Saturdays from 10 am - 5pm. Available products for take out include pastries, beverages, and pies. Bread availability is dependent on preorder sales. As we gradually rehire our team, we will expand our menu and hours of operation. If you have any questions, please contact us at info@blackwalnutbakery.ca

Some Notes:

  • No reservations available for our take out window. If you would like to reserve items, please read about our preorder pick up service below.
  • No public entry is allowed into our building at this time. All service is handled outside on our front porch. 
  • We cannot offer access to our bathrooms.
  • No sandwiches available at this time. Stay tuned on our social media for updates!

PREORDER PICKUP: 

We will continue to offer preorder pick ups from Wednesdays to Saturdays from 12 noon - 5pm. Our preorder menu goes live on our website every Monday morning at 9AM. To place your order, check out our menu, add items to your cart, select a pick up date and time slot, and then process your payment. As soon as payment is received, you will get an automatic email confirmation with your order number. This means we received your order, and we will have it ready for pick up on your chosen pick up date at your chosen time. All orders must be pre paid. If you can no longer come at your chosen time, let us know and we will make sure to have it ready when needed. 

When you come to pick up your preorder: 

Please come as close to your chosen pick up time as you can. This will help space out the numbers of visiting customers more comfortably. Once you arrive to pick up your order, please line up at our front steps. You will notice we have tables set up separating ourselves from the public. We will ask you for your last name or your order number. We kindly ask that you wait behind the red line while your order is being retrieved. Once we bring your order out to the table and step back, you may then approach to grab your goods. 

Note: We cannot offer delivery at this time. Our apologies!

OUR TEAM

We are operating as a reduced team, with 12 members on staff. We are strictly sanitizing our workspace in between shifts, being very mindful about washing our hands regularly, and practicing stringent physical distancing both at work and at home. 

SAFETY FIRST

For the safety of our team and your fellow customers, please refrain from visiting our bakery if you have travelled within 14 days, have come in contact with someone ill, or if you feel symptoms of Covid-19 yourself. Please stay home. We've had a number of Cumberland residents offer to do deliveries for fellow customers in self-isolation, so if that would be helpful to you, please contact us for arrangements at info@blackwalnutbakery.ca
